Hympala Hasselt — 30 Minutes Across the Border from Maastricht
Hympala is a curated streetwear store in Hasselt, Belgium — 35 km west of Maastricht, 30 minutes across the NL–BE border on the A2/E314. For Maastricht customers, a different product mix, and a compact city centre that makes for a half-day shopping trip rather than a dedicated errand.
Why Dutch Customers Make the Trip
Hympala carries 15+ brands selected for material quality and cultural relevance — a different mix than what's on offer in Maastricht's Grote Staat or the Wyck side. Arbor Antwerp — Belgium's organic-cotton heavyweight label (290–450 GSM). New Amsterdam Surf Association — Amsterdam's urban surf brand, carried in Belgium at Hympala. Obey — Shepard Fairey's art-driven streetwear. Gramicci — climbing heritage from California via Tokyo. Pompeii Brand — Madrid sneakers and clothing. Plus the Hympala own-brand line.
The selection is small and deliberate, rotated with each season. Everything on the rail has a reason to be there.
